Portrait Session Downtown | Warm Winter Tones in the City | Martina

Winter afternoons in downtown Necochea have a very particular atmosphere. The cold air, the stone buildings and the deep colours of the city create an urban scenery that feels both nostalgic and cinematic. Moreover, when soft winter light appears between the streets and storefronts, everything suddenly becomes warmer and more vibrant than expected.

That contrast shaped this portrait session with Martina. Despite the freezing afternoon, the photographs ended up feeling luminous, rich and full of life. Meanwhile, her red hair stood out beautifully against the darker winter palette and the green tones of the city. We wandered through the downtown streets, moving naturally between shops, textured walls and corners that felt visually interesting. Sometimes the session felt elegant and minimal. Other times, the city itself added a stronger editorial energy to the images.

I always love photographing during colder seasons because winter light has a softness that completely transforms colours and textures. Instead of creating overly polished scenes, I prefer working with the atmosphere that already exists around us. Furthermore, urban locations bring movement and character in a very organic way. In this session, the combination of rich winter tones, architectural details and Martina’s presence created portraits that feel timeless and effortlessly stylish.

Some of the most beautiful photographs happen when warmth appears exactly where you would least expect it. However, that balance between cold weather and soft light is what makes winter sessions feel so special. If you are looking for a portrait session with an urban and fashion-inspired aesthetic, city streets during winter can create something truly unique.
