There is something special about wandering through city streets without a fixed plan and simply following whatever catches your eye. In downtown Necochea, every corner seemed to offer a different mood for this portrait session with Mica. Some moments felt soft and romantic. Others carried a subtle grunge energy that made the entire production feel modern and unpredictable in the best way.
We spent the spring afternoon walking through the city, stopping wherever the light, textures or colours inspired us. Meanwhile, the pastel palette of lilac, pink and green blended beautifully with the urban scenery around us. Sometimes the photographs felt delicate and dreamy. Other times, the styling, attitude and movement gave them a sharper editorial edge. That contrast became one of my favourite parts of the session. Everything flowed naturally between fashion, spontaneity and the atmosphere of the streets.
I really enjoy portrait sessions that feel a little imperfect and instinctive because they often create the strongest visual stories. Instead of controlling every detail, I prefer leaving space for unexpected moments and natural interaction with the environment. Furthermore, city sessions allow so much variety without needing elaborate setups. In this case, the combination of soft colours, edgy styling and Mica’s presence created images that feel both feminine and bold at the same time.
Fashion photography becomes much more interesting when it also carries emotion and personality. However, that balance only happens when the energy feels real and effortless. If you are looking for a portrait session with an editorial and cinematic feel, exploring the city can lead to something truly unique.
