This portrait session in Palma de Mallorca combines natural portraits, a lively city and a very special moment in life. Lin and I met in the afternoon near Parc de les Estacions. The idea was to create fresh, spontaneous photographs that matched her personality. She had just finished school and was about to begin her university studies.
For that reason, we wanted images that felt young and current without looking overly formal. As we walked around the area, we found small corners that worked perfectly. Some photographs happened among busy streets and historic buildings. Others appeared as we explored quieter spots along the way. As a result, the session kept a fun, relaxed and completely natural energy.
Palma is always full of movement, especially around its busiest areas. However, that does not mean you need to escape the crowds for great photographs. On the contrary, including some of that movement can add personality to the images. It also helps create photographs that feel connected to the real atmosphere of the city.
I also love how a session can become a small way to discover Palma. For visitors, walking around with a local photographer means finding places they might otherwise miss. At the same time, they get to take home photographs that capture more than how they looked. They also preserve how the city felt during their visit.
Photographs do not need to feel overly produced to have personality. Sometimes, a busy city, a good conversation and a few unexpected corners are enough. If you want to explore Palma while creating natural and current photographs, send me a message to learn more or book your portrait session.
